A History of Firsts

We have proudly initiated a number of “firsts” in our industry. We have the distinction of being the first car and truck rental company in Canada to focus on the insurance replacement market. In addition, our early adoption of technological advances has delivered value-added service propositions that have made us preferred providers in this market.

Most recently, recognizing skyrocketing gas prices, Discount has taken a leadership role in adding hybrid electric cars to its fleet of rental cars and trucks. These vehicles provide good fuel economy, saving customers money while providing the environmental advantages of lower emissions and cleaner exhaust gas.
